At Sydney Centre for Innovation in Learning I work with schools to find and implement a vision for post-industrial-model schooling.

A simple taxonomy of 4 'frames', designed to identify elements teaching practice and make them susceptible to innovation.

Collaboratively developed & deliver Immersion Days , Making it Mobile event, SCIL workshop program"Personalised Learning" staff development day.

Beyond Borders

eTwinning facility born in 2005 allowing collaboration between students from multiple schools. Over 80 projects, 4,000 students and 15 countries.

Booralie Island

Pioneering integration of virtual 3D space within physical school space, with Second LifeOpen SimMinecraft & integration with Moodle via SloodleBlog posts.

Online & Blended Learning 

Developed and delivered four online French courses via HSCONLINE for the NSW HSC.

Created 'learning landscape' model for personalised blended learning programs. Case study. 

Innovate 5 


Course designed to nurture capacity to innovate in any walk of life, available worldwide via videoconferencing.

Email protocol for rapid, scaled deployment in schools. Derived from Getting Things Done, it has been successfully operational at my school since 2011. It does not aim to cure email drag, but to score early 'easy wins' and maintain them.


The Real Audience Project

School-wide movement toward student-authored print bookswebsites, and internet radio station.

Project Based Learning for Language Acquisition 

Collaboration with language teachers to publish ideas and experiences with a PBL approach to language learning. Watch this space 2014.
